Step 1 - Have a Discovery Call
The Discovery Call is an initial consultation with our experienced Financial Adviser to discuss your financial situation, needs, and objectives. Your Financial Adviser will seek to learn more about you and your advice needs to determine whether our financial planning advice services are suitable for you. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have to determine if we are the right fit for you. The Discovery Call can occur via video call, telephone or in person on the Gold Coast, Australia. To book in a Discovery Call, please complete the contact us form.
Step 2 - Receive Personalised Service Proposal
2.1 Request for Information: Following the Discovery Call, we will request information from you about your financial situation so we can prepare a written Service Proposal. The information requested provides us with a preliminary overview of your financial situation. A more comprehensive Fact Find is completed at a later stage, should you proceed to engage our services.
2.2 Service Proposal: We will provide a Personalised Service Proposal to you in writing. The Proposal will outline the professional financial planning advice services we will provide to you and the associated costs to receive those services. You will have the opportunity to discuss the Proposal in a further consultation, where you can ask your Financial Adviser any clarifying questions regarding the scope of the financial planning advice services or the fees payable.
Step 3 - Formally Engage our Services
3.1 Formal Engagement and Fact Find: Should you proceed with our Proposal and formally engage our services, you will complete a comprehensive Fact Find. This allows your Financial Adviser to obtain detailed information about your financial situation, obtain the relevant financial and identification documentation, and assess your investor risk profile.
3.2 Comprehensive Review of your Financial Situation: Using the information in your Fact Find form, your Financial Adviser will undertake a comprehensive review of your financial situation, ascertain suitable financial products, and formulate financial strategies.
Step 4 - Preparation of a Statement of Advice (SOA)
Your Financial Adviser will prepare a Statement of Advice (SOA) document that details our recommendations to you. The SOA will explain the basis of the advice, the advantages, risks, and costs associated with following our advice. The SOA will outline any necessary information, relevant to the recommendations to enable you to make an informed decision about the advice. It is a legal requirement for a Financial Adviser to provide you with an SOA when providing personal financial planning advice.
Step 5 - Presentation and Implementation of Statement of Advice (SOA) and Ongoing Services
5.1 Presentation of SOA: Once you have had the opportunity to review your Statement of Advice (SOA), your Financial Adviser will present the advice to you during a video or in-person consultation. This allows your Financial Adviser to guide you through the recommendations in more detail to ensure you understand the advice. This also provides you with the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
5.2 Implementation of SOA: Once you are satisfied with the advice and agree to proceed with the recommendations in your Statement of Advice, your Financial Adviser and their team will assist you to implement the advice. This includes assisting you to complete any paperwork related to the advice (e.g., new applications, superannuation rollover forms, beneficiary nomination forms, investment switches etc.).
5.3 Ongoing Advice & Support: Our financial planning advice services are designed to suit clients engaging us in an ongoing capacity. Once the initial implementation of your advice has been completed, your Financial Adviser will provide tailored ongoing guidance and support, critical to the success of your financial plan.
